Dear resident
Reported crime this year in Awsworth has reduced by 23%, in Giltbrook and Newthorpe by 15% and in Cossall by 30% compared to last year. However the theft of metal is on the increase. This includes the theft of lead from windows and from church roofs and the theft of scrap metal, we have also recently even had copper removed from the inside of lamp posts.
Could you please be aware of persons or vehicles acting suspiciously. If you see anything suspicious please let us know, please also record any registration numbers of vehicles involved. If you see a theft in progress please dial 999.
Our non emergency number is 101.
