Basford Ward Update – July 2012
Afternoon
During June the Basford Ward comprising of Park Lane, Stockhill and Whitemoor saw overall crime decrease by over 60% during the month compared to the same period last year.
There were 6 House Burglaries during June, which were spread out across the whole ward with no particular trend or area being targeted.
There were only 2 robberies reported during June, which is down compared to the same period last year.
Vehicle Crime, including Theft of Motor Vehicles and/or Theft from Motor Vehicles saw a total of 11 offences. A number of these were insecure vehicles left unattended with items on view. Can I please remind you all to keep vehicles as secure as possible and whenever possible remove or hide items from view.
Overall crime for the month of June saw a decrease of 39 offences compared to the same period last year. A decrease of over 60%. This was very good news and we aim to continue in this.
We have now started work on the Community Priority of speeding vehicles and Anti Social Behaviour around the Bar Lane area, this has included increased patrols and two speed gun operations. We will keep you updated on how this is progressing.
Finally, any suspicious behaviour can be reported using the non-emergency contact number – 101, or to make contact with your local Safer Neighbourhood Team you can visit the website www.nottinghamshire.police.uk and put your postcode in half way down the home page.
Thank you
