Dear resident
On 24 June a property on Cheslyn Drive was reported to have been broken into. The incident is believed to have occurred between approximately 1400 hours 23 June and 2000 hours 24 June.
If you witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time, please give us a call on 101 quoting incident number 000770-22062012 in order that any relevant information can be passed to the ongoing investigation.
We will endeavour to have increased patrols in the area and I would encourage you to report any suspicious behaviour using the 101 non-emergency number – or 999 when appropriate and an immediate response is required.
Crime in the area has continued to fall during recent months; however this incident serves as a reminder that there are still dishonest people around looking for an opportunity to steal valuable property. Please remain alert and ensure that appropriate security measures are taken, such as ensuring doors/windows are locked and keys removed and items are not left on display. Valuables can also be marked with Smartwater (contact me to obtain a free pack) and serial numbers registered on the Immobilise database www.immobilise.com.
Please do not hesitate to contact me (details overleaf) should you require security advice, a free Smartwater pack, or be interested in Neighbourhood Watch. I would also encourage you to sign up to the free Nottinghamshire Alert service, which enables us to quickly pass information to residents about incidents in the area – please contact me for further information or visit the web link below.
Regards,
Dan
