CRIME ALERT

Alert message sent 18/06/2012 16:03:00
Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police

Over the last week we have seen a steady rise in the numbers of Burglary and Auto crime offences . We have adjusted our patrols and are working hard to arrest the people responsible.

Auto crime

There were 5 offences in total reported across the Ainsley, Broxtowe, and Bilborough beat areas. The most significant fact was that each of the vehicles broken into had either a Sat Nav stolen, and even a Lap top. People are still leaving desirable expensive items in their vehicles, often on display. Please help us by remembering to remove any such items from your cars. Make sure they are locked.

Burglary

We have had 8 reports of Burglary dwelling on the area. Bilborough has had 3 reports in the last week. These have all been overnight, and appear to have targeted Bungalows in the area. On one occasion the vehicle from the property has also been taken. Again can you please ensure your properties are secured.

We really need your help, we have seen great results in crime reduction and we are all safer because of it. Please be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour.
