Car crime in Woodthorpe

Alert message sent 05/05/2012 09:08:00
Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police

There continues to be an increase in theft from cars in the Woodthorpe area. These crimes are taking place because doors and boots are being left unlocked and insecure.

Please can I remind you all to make sure you lock your vehicles when left unattended and all valuables are removed. Please do not leave any items on display as this only makes the criminals wonder what else is available from your vehicle and make sure everything is removed from your glove box. Leave the glove box open to show the criminals nothing is inside. If you have a Sat Nav please make sure you remove all cables and clean the mark off the window.

Attached is a useful document providing recommendations on how best to secure your vehicle.

If you do see anyone acting suspiciously, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or if you witness a crime in progress call 999.

Many thanks for your time
PCSO Nicola BATES
