Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch in Nottinghamshire

Overall crime in Ashfield South is down by 22% compared to April 2011, but we have recently seen an increase in vehicle crime in the last month.
In the last 7 days there have been 4 vehicle break-ins occurring overnight in the areas of Leen Valley Way, Burbury Avenue, Albert Street and Montague Road. Items left in vehicles are being targeted. Please ensure you remove all valuable items.

We have recently launched Operation Divot to tackle vehicle crime and burglary offences. A house burglar has been arrested, charged and remanded to prison.

We are looking for information of stolen goods being offered for sale and we would ask that any information be given to Crimestoppers on 0800555111 please.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously in the early hours please ring us immediately and let us know on Telephone number 101.

We would also like to hear about any scrap metal vans or lorries seen in your area. Please note vehicle registration number and if possible make and type of vehicle and let us know using the reply button at the foot of this message.
