Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police
Dear Residents,

Whilst on a routine patrol this morning in Toton i walked past a house which had 2 childrens mountain bikes left on the front grass.  Having been unable to locate any occupants i placed the bikes in a less obvious place and carried on.

Fortunately the occupant contacted me and told me that they had left them out for the Scrap Man to collect

This is a reminder though not to leave pedal cycles etc on your front lawn and to ensure that they are secured.

Also, please try not to leave bags, handbags or other items of interest visible near your front door as that is always a temptation for someone to break in so that they can see what is inside.

If you need any advice reference crime prevention then please contact your Local Beat Team
