MURDER INVESTIGATION AT WEST BRIDGFORD

The deaths of two people, who were found at a house in West Bridgford yesterday (Thursday 26 April 2012), are being treated as suspicious.
 
The bodies of a 64-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were found just after 11am at a house in North Road.
 
A murder investigation is under way to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
 
An incident room has been set up and forensic officers are examining the North Road scene. They are expected to remain there into tomorrow (Saturday 28 April 2012).
 
House-to-house enquiries are being made and cordons are also in place at two other addresses in the area as part of the investigation.
 
Formal identification is yet to take place.
 
Home Office post-mortem examinations into the cause of death are set to be carried out today.
 
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Meynell, Senior Investigating Officer, said: “A team of detectives are working on this inquiry in order to piece together the chain of events leading up to the deaths.
 
“At this stage I would like to reassure the community that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
