Theft of Motor cycles/scooters.

Dear Residents

Over the past week we have seen a slight increase in theft of motor cycles, particularly scooters and 125cc motor cycles across the north of the city.

These have been stolen, mainly from a front drive way or yard.

Can I take this opportunity to ask you where ever possible to keep these vehicles locked away securely and preferably, if you have one in a garage or rear shed, secured with a good lock or alarm and covered so it can not be seen.

If you require any crime prevention advice please contact a member of your local Neighbourhood Police Team who can visit you or arrange for a crime prevention officer to visit you personally.

Remember, if you see any suspicious vehicles or persons, who raise your suspicions, let us know by telephoning 101 or 999 in an emergency.
