During the next couple of months myself Craig & Andy will be aiming to visit every household in Beeston North trying to get people to sign up to the new Neighbourhood Alerts system.
We know this will be a mammoth task but we feel that it is imperative to be able to get important information to as many of our residents as possible. This alert system brings the traditional Neighbourhood Watch scheme into the 21st Century and is great for keeping our community up to date with crimes happening in the area, giving crime reduction advice, providing you with crime statistics and of course good news stories.
We get asked all the time “What do PCSO’s and the beat team do?” By receiving these alerts you will be able to see exactly what things we do and things we try to achieve on a weekly basis.
It also allows members to supply information to the Police about suspicious activity in total confidence and discuss local issues on line.
The site is simple to use, highly secure and most importantly its FREE !!! No joining fee and no monthly subscriptions !!!
All the dates have been added to the Safer Neighbourhood pages on the Nottinghamshire Police website. This shows where we will be and what streets we will be visiting.
Please note though that these dates and times are subject to change.
If we cannot attend at the stated times due to other operational requirements we will reschedule as soon as possible.
We do appreciate that not everyone has a computer to be able to access the Alert system but we will endeavour to try and find ways of passing information onto these households.
We will also be carrying out surveys at the same time, and for those residents who are not in when we visit, information and a Neighbourhood Alert sign up form will be posted through letterboxes.
I think I have covered everything but should there be anything you think I need to add please feel free to contact any of the team using the contact details below:
