Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Asquith Boulevard.
The incident happened between 8.30am and 12.20pm on Tuesday, December 6, when the 63-year-old victim returned home to find access had been gained to her property and a number of items had been taken. Property taken includes a safe containing a substantial amount of cash, a Panosonic digital video camera, some jewellery and a Garmin sat nav.
Detective Constable Jonathan Davies, who is investigating the incident said: “This incident happened in the middle of the day in broad daylight on a busy road. There would have been people out and about who may have seen something, but have not spoken to the police.
“I would ask anyone who uses this route to get to work, or during the morning to think back and see of they remember seeing anyone carrying a safe, or acting suspiciously. I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has seen a safe abandoned anywhere.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC 2068 Jonathan Davies by dialing 101. Follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer, and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 2068. Alternatively, you may contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
