|Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network|
St John Ambulance is about to commence a door to door fundraising campaign in the Solihull and Sutton Coldfield areas.
The fundraising initiatives will take place between 4 April 2011 to 30 July 2011 in Solihull, and 4 April and 31 January 2012 in Sutton Coldfield. The local police in these areas have been notified.
The campaign, using a team of professional fundraisers, involves canvassing door to door to talk to residents about the work of St John Ambulance and to encourage their support with a voluntary donation, by Direct Debit only. They do not collect cash and are in fact forbidden to do so. The fundraisers all wear identification badges and t-shirts/jackets bearing the St John Ambulance logo.
This message is to inform you of the activity. St John Ambulance is the holder of a House to House Order of Exemption (reference CHC/87-7/207-1), which enables them to fundraise in this way.
Anyone wishing to confirm the identification of a fundraiser should they be approached should ask for their name and identification number and call 08452 22 11 99.
