Nuthall West –

Burglary Other – 3

McColls, Ash Crescent, 16/07/2012 & 23/07/2012

Till draw snatch on both occasions. The times were 2115 and 2025 respectively. Two male offenders on the 16/07/2012 and just one on the 23/07/2012. Both occasions exit was made on foot down the footpath from Ash Crescent that leads to Shelley Close. No vehicles were sighted and fortunately for staff members only verbal threats were made.

One male has been circulated for arrest for the two above incidents and at around 0515 hours on the 28/07/2012 he was located and detained.

Kimberley Road 16/07/2012

Detached garage broken into by forcing a window causing damage. Fishing and golf equipment stolen.

Larkfield Road 23/07/2012

Group of youths causing a nuisance and being rowdy in the street at 0050 hours.

Birch Avenue 27/07/2012

Elderly male being targeted by bogus lottery scams in the form of junk mail being sent for his attention.

Beech Avenue 28/07/2012

Youths causing a nuisance and door knocking to a local resident causing harassment and alarm.

Nuthall East –

Criminal Damage – 4

Harcourt Crescent 11/07/2012

A couple of youths were paying a lot of attention to houses nearby. The youths were challenged by a resident after a burglary on the street only a couple of days before. The two males being agitated and aggressive and one kicked out at a vehicle causing damage.

Both males were arrested and bailed until 1430 hours on 04/08/2012 with conditions not to contact the witness, not to go onto Harcourt Crescent and to sign on twice weekly at Broxtowe Police Station.

Drummond Drive 20/07/2012 Hammersmith Close 20/07/2012 Temple Drive 20/07/2012

All of the above three are linked to a spate of damage that occurred sometime between 0010 and 0040 hours. Along the footpath and onto the Horsendale estate wooden fence panels were pulled out of the ground and smashed up. A van also had its front windscreen smashed in with a panel from the fence.

Off road motorcycle nuisance on the Broxtowe Country Park.

Cranwell Court 18/07/2012

Noise nuisance from a house party.

Borman Close 24/07/2012 & 27/07/2012

Ongoing neighbour dispute over access and parking.

Acer Court Care Home 24/07/2012

Youths gathering and causing a general nuisance near to the smoking shelter.

Carterswood Drive 13/07/2012

Garden shed had a lock broken off but entry could not be gained.

Harcourt Crescent 15/07/2012

Insecure garden shed entered and searched but nothing was stolen.

Theft From Motor Vehicle – 4

Highbury Close x2 12/07/2012

Both vehicles were left insecure but property was left inside in the glove compartment and boot area.

Carterswood Drive 13/07/2012

Van passenger side window smashed and glove compartment searched but nothing stolen.

Harcourt Crescent 13/07/2012

Vehicle left insecure and coat taken from the rear seat.

Strelley Village –

Theft From Motor Vehicle – 1

Strelley Hall 21/07/2012

Three commercial vehicles broken into and machinery taken from each vehicle.

Anti Social Behaviour – 4

Catstone Hill 15/07/2012, 28/07/2012, 29/07/2012, 30/07/2012

Off road motorcycle nuisance on the fields through the village.

Three youths were stopped by officers at the above location on Saturday afternoon taking it in turns to ride a noisy off road motorcycle.
All were informed that they would be issued with a warning under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 for a driving motor vehicle on footpaths and common land contrary to Section 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and in a manner which has been causing alarm distress and annoyance to local people. They said they were not aware they had caused any nuisance and were not aware they needed permission from the landowner to ride vehicles off road. The Section 59 warning was then fully explained to them. All were advised not to use vehicles off road on any common land bridleways or footpaths or on private land without permission of the relevant land owner and escorted off the area.
