Crime Report - Ashfield South for the week to Thursday 20 July 2017

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch in Nottinghamshire

Crimes reported over the past seven days.


Burglary Dwelling

Between 8.00pm on Friday 14 July and 9.20am on Saturday 15 July in Shaw Crescent a house was entered via the front door. A car key fob and keys were stolen along with a Mazda Sport car. A similar car was later found burnt out.


Between 2.00am and 9.00am on Saturday 15 July in Wesley Street, Annesley Woodhouse, a property was entered by the insecure back door.  An iPhone, wallet and white handbag were stolen.


Overnight Wednesday12 to Thursday13 July in Hayden Lane, Hucknall, three door locks to a house were damaged in an attempt to gain entry.  Nothing was stolen.



Burglary Other

Between Friday 30 June and Friday 14 July in James Street, Annesley Woodhouse, the lock to a shed was damaged but nothing was stolen.


Between 5.00pm on Sunday16 July and 9.00pm on Monday17 July in Broomhill Road, Hucknall, a black and dark blue Rockrider mountain bike and a ladies white Apollo City bike were stolen from a shed.



Theft of motor vehicle

Between 11.00pm on Wednesday12 July and 3.00am on Thursday13 July in James Street, Annesley Woodhouse a black Peugeot Speedfight 50cc motor bike and keys were stolen from outside a house.


Theft from motor vehicle

Between 6.00pm on Friday14 July and 7.00am on Saturday15 July on Blenheim Park Road, Bulwell, the front and rear number plates were stolen from a blue Peugeot van.


Between 10.00pm on Thursday13 July and 7.35am on Friday14 July on Hazelwood Drive, Hucknall, the front and rear number plates were stolen from a green Vauxhall Corsa parked at the roadside.



Between 9.00am and 10.15am on Friday14 July in J D Wetherspoons on Hucknall High Street a set of keys were stolen from a jumper in the back if a chair.


Around 9.30am on Tuesday18 July at Under One Roof, Vine Terrace, Hucknall, a mobile phone and a purse were stolen from a handbag in an office.

We continue to get reports of phones, keys and purses being stolen from the public areas of buildings.  Please do not leave items unattended, or in bags and clothing which are out of your sight.  It only requires a moment of inattention for them to be taken.  Ideally keep items in pockets on the front of your attire.
