There has been an increase in drink related ASB over the Jubilee weekend. The police continue to work with local licenses to make sure all incidents are reported and appropriate action taken. A license has been positively dealt with for selling alcohol to underage teenagers. In Selston the police are prosecuting a proxy buyer of alcohol as well as the underage youngster who received the alcohol. If anyone is aware of underage sales of alcohol or instances of proxy buying by adults please inform the police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Crimes in the past seven days are as follows,
A house burglary on Church Lane, Selston. Overnight on the 1st June.
A house burglary on Nabbs Lane, Hucknall. Overnight on the 4th June.
A motor bike was stolen from outside a house on Alfreton Road, Selston on 1st June at approx. 8.00am.
A Ford Ka was stolen in Ogle Street, Hucknall in the late evening of 1st June.
A car on Albert Street, Hucknall had a tyre slashed on 5th June in the late evening.
Vehicle crime continues to be an issue. Incidents are down 33% for the month to date but are still up for the year to date when compared to last year. The police would like you to reinforce the message ‘Not to leave items on display when cars are left unattended’.
A robbery occurred at Betfred bookmakers on Ruffs Drive, Hucknall on Tuesday the 5th June at about 9.30pm. If anyone has any information that may be of help to the police regarding this incident then please contact Hucknall CID on 101 or call Crimstoppers on 0800 555 111.
The police would also welcome reports regarding the illegal riding of mini motorbikes as usual to 101.
