Dear resident
On 17 May two properties on the Beechdale beat were broken into; one on the upper part of Beechdale Road and one on the lower part of Robinswood Road. There is nothing to suggest these incidents are linked, but both are currently under investigation.
If you witnessed any suspicious behaviour in either area, please give us a call on 101 in order that any relevant information can be passed to the ongoing investigation.
We will endeavour to have increased patrols in the area and I would encourage you to report any suspicious behaviour using the 101 non-emergency number – or 999 when appropriate and an immediate response is required.
Crime in the area has continued to fall during recent months; however these incidents serve as a reminder that there are still dishonest people around looking for an opportunity to steal valuable property. Please remain alert and ensure that appropriate security measures are taken, such as ensuring doors/windows are locked and keys removed and items are not left on display. Valuables can also be marked with Smartwater (contact me to obtain a free pack) and serial numbers registered on the Immobilise database www.immobilise.com.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require security advice or a free Smartwater pack.
Regards,
Dan
