Dear Community,
Good news from your Kingswell, Mapperley Plains and Woodthorpe Beat Team;
There has been no reported incidents of house burglaries on the Kingswell, Mapperley Plains and Woodthorpe Beat area for 35 days!
This is good news and I hope it reflects the efforts made by the Beat Team to tackle this type of crime. This work will of course continue together with partnering agencies, regardless of crime levels.
However, in the same 35 day period, there have still been 3 shed/garage burglaries (please see attached information on securing sheds & garages) and we have also seen a rise in commercial burglaries i.e. shops, public houses etc.
As always, we are working towards keeping all crime down. We will be most successful in doing this with the community’s help.
Please report any persons that you judge as acting suspiciously ASAP directly to the Police. We will endeavour to attend ASAP and find out who they are and what their business is. We will need their description/s, where they are or where you last saw them heading.
Remember if something looks suspicious to you then we want to know about it. Police time is not wasted by genuine calls to service!
You can contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 however, if it is an emergency, please dial 999.
Kind regards
PCSO Nicola Bates |
