Residents,
Every 3 months a maximum of 3 neighbourhood priorities are agreed. The following is action your local beat team have taken between 20/01/2012 and 19/04/2012.
You said ‘Fear of burglary’ was an issue in your area.
We did:
High visible patrols have been conducted in the areas where a burglary has occurred or historically occurred. Police Operation signs have been deployed in key locations informing members of the public of increased patrols.
Leaflet drops have been completed and previous burglary victims have been revisited providing further reassurance and advice relating to protecting their property.
You said ‘Speeding’ was an issue in you area.
We did:
Local officers have conducted speed checks with a hand held speed gun in key areas identified by members of the community. The locations included Ilkeston Road Stapleford, Derby Road Stapleford, Hickings Lane Stapleford and Stapleford Road Trowell.
Special Constables have been in the above locations using the enforceable speed camera. A number of tickets have been issued to motorists.
You said ‘Anti Social Behaviour’ was an issue in your area.
We did:
Locations identified by members of the community have been patrolled by the local beat team and individuals have been spoken to regarding their behaviour. Details of persons causing ASB have been recorded and where necessary they have been taken back to their home address and parents/guardians have been informed.
Operation Animism is an ongoing operation tackling ASB across the Stapleford, Beeston and Chilwell areas. Key locations are patrolled by officers on a Friday and Saturday evening. The following locations have been patrolled; Coop Derby Road Stapleford, Eaton Road Stapleford, Montrose Court Stapleford and Hickings lane Park Stapleford. There has been a reduction of ASB incident in the Stapleford Cluster area.
Person involved in ASB have their details taken and where they continue to act in an anti social manner details are passed on to the ASB officer at Broxtowe Borough council where information is gathered to prepare an Anti Social Behaviour Contract (ASB) and some cases an ASBO application.
The new priorities for the following three months are:
Theft of/from motor vehicle
Vehicle Related Nuisance
ASB
An update will be posted in July 2012 for action taken for priorities listed above.
Kind Regards
